Our staff at Internal Medicine Associates of Middle Georgia has years of experience. Depend on us to provide you with health assessments along with care and treatment that meets your specific needs.


Dr. Craig Caldwell has been practicing in Forsyth since 1980. After earning his Bachelor of Science Degree from Emory University, he graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in 1977. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, where he served as chief resident his final year. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics, and gained re-certification in geriatrics in 2017.


Dr. Caldwell continues with his general internal medicine practice but has a special interest in geriatric assessment and care.


He earned Fellowship in the American College of Physicians in 2007.

An honor graduate of Mary Persons High School, Dr. Jeremy Goodwin attended the University of Georgia where he earned membership in Phi Beta Kappa and graduated cum laude. He completed his M.D. degree at Mercer University School of Medicine, where he was also a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, a highly selective medical honor society. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. He joined Dr. Caldwell in July of 2007, and is currently taking new patients.


Dr. Alec Ridley was raised in Macon where he graduated from Westside High School. He received a B.A., magna cum laude, from Hampden-Sydney College. After working in Savannah for four years, he enrolled at Mercer University School of Medicine where he was invited to be a member of Alpha Omega Alpha medical society. He completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Colorado with a focus on primary care. Dr. Ridley is board certified in internal medicine and has spent the last four years as a physician with the VA. He is married with two children attending elementary school in Forsyth.

After receiving her Bachelor of Science Nursing Degree at Georgia Baptist College of Nursing in 1999, Tammy began her nursing career at Southern Regional Medical Center in the Emergency Room. She continued her education at Georgia State University and received her Master's Degree in 2004. Tammy is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and has been inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing. After working at several Atlanta area hospitals in emergency rooms and intensive care units, she settled down into family practice medicine where she has practiced for the last seven years.


Lisa grew up in Monroe County, Georgia, and graduated from Mary Persons High School in 1998.  She then attended the University of Georgia, where she graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in English in 2002.  She later attended Middle Georgia University for her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and Georgia College and State University for her Masters in Nursing.  She has worked at Navicent and at Monroe County Hospitals and was a Nurse Practitioner with several Departments of Public Health in underserved areas.

Rebecca’s family have been residents of Monroe County for generations. She graduated from Mary Persons High School in 2008 and earned a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Georgia College & State University in 2012. As a new nurse, she worked at Coliseum Medical Centers before moving to Birmingham, AL. There she obtained her Masters Degree in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham while working in their Surgical Intensive Care Unit. After graduating, Rebecca worked at an urgent care before moving home in 2019 and joining Internal Medicine Associates of Middle Georgia. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is accepting new patients.
